Every time the republicans get in office something terrible happens, like allowing the trade towers to be knocked down and not shooting the jets down before the hit the tower, even though we spend billions of dollars on having the ability to do that. And terrible things like invading the wrong country and causing the deficit to go up trillions of dollars. The operating thesis of the republican party is that government is bad and they do everything they can to illustrate their point. So I have to say given the way the republican party opperates that the trump, china virus was no accident. And just like we can no longer fly on airplanes or enter sports stadiums with out jumping through a great many hoops. I think their will be much residue from this latest republican blunder/ social pyschological manipulation.

Was your faith in Armagedddon connected to current events?
by Wasanelder Once inremember when nixon resigned?
the big a was here some said.
remember 1986 and the "international year of peace and security?

I was raised as a witness from one year old. I was born 1952. I was always bombarded with talk and words of armageddon. I remeber the paradise book with the people being swallowed by earthquake. The Jw's brainwashed me that armegeddon was coming and school education was a bad thing. I don't know if that made me have faith in armegeddon but it sure altered my way of thinking. When 1975 came, I felt I was free from that crazy religion, but I did not know how to escape. It took me until 1983 to just stop going and saying no more. Now as I analyze my situation, I find I am catagorized as an atheist. I do believe wackadoodle right wing republican christians could bring about a man made armegeddon. But with TRump stock hitting an all time low, its not a big worry today.

Can we stick to topics that we came that we came to this forum in the first place?
by James Jack ini don’t care about politics, books you are reading, movies and tv programs you’re watching, etc..
-

When you turn your computer on you do not have to read everything that appears on your screen. When I used to watch tv, I had a dial to change the channel if I did not like the program. When you go to a page you do not care for, just scroll on. Hit the back button or the forward button or your favorites. You do not have to read what you do not like.

Will we eventually evolve into “Creators” GODS?
by I believe in overlapping inhumanity is slowly leaving behind ancient stories of a god who created adam and eve and punished their children for eating the forbidden produce.
some people with vision like yuval noah harai, sam harris, elon musk, and others, caution the intellectuals of the world to tread cautiously in regard to artificial intelligence, (ai) development.
most experts don’t share their viewpoint mostly because they think they know more than they do, and they think they are smarter than they are.

Will we eventually evolve into “Creators” GODS?
I think we very possibly we are now. Elon Musk says there is a 99.9% probability that we are in a computer simulation right now. Many physicist agree. If we are in a simulation I will go one step further and say there is a good probability that we put ourselves in the simulation and chose the parameters that we operate in. All of that considered we could be at least gods.
I would think to be a creator god you would have to write and develop the program before getting into it.
When you get done with this program ask yourself were you the designer? Then you will have your answer.

Do You Have A Negative Outlook Because You Were Once A JW?
by minimus init could be argued that exjws have issues in life simply because they were jehovah’s witnesses at a point in their lives.
.
do you think you or we are fairly normal considering we were jehovah’s witnesses or do you think we have a lot of baggage because we are a bit messed up ( even if we don’t even know it)?.

Sometimes I am negative and depressed. But I am always working on it. I have been looking into "My Big Toe" the theory of everything. Using Quantum physics. By Thomas Campbell.
I am understanding that very possibly I chose my parents and I chose my false religion as a learning experience as something to rise above.
So when I find myself negative because of my JW experience, I reflect on this information and start to make sense of my life and become a player.

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Bother You At All?
by minimus ini faded from the religion and simply didn’t go back.

Anyone pissed at their parents for raising you in the cult?
by blownaway inmy mother was not the most emotionally stable person.
she was a follower and instilled in me the idea we were better than those worldly people.
its hard to go to school as a child and you can not be friends outside of school, you can not celebrate any holidays, and you are told all these people are going to die.

I have a lot of anger with my mother for raising me as a witness. And I have anger with my father for allowing her to raise me as a witness. I am 65. My mother just died this week at 87. I guess I will have this anger until the day I die.
I hate the JW cult.

There is No Way Out For Me
by Addison0998 ini have come to the conclusion that there is no way for me to ever leave.
although i have some friends at work, my whole social structure are witnesses.
even if i move congregations, my parents have contacts everywhere who will tell them if i’m not active.

I was born in and trapped for 30 years. And I felt the same way you did.
Then one day, I got fed up and said no more and I never went back.
I was once a pioneer and a ministerial servant.
I gave up a lot of phony friends and a full social calendar.
I don't regret leaving. I have had a good life out of the cult.
One bit of advice, I can give you from my experience is, I have always been an avid reader.
I have my own library a room of books.
If you want to leave or understand if and how to leave, start out reading "your erroneous zones" by Wayne Dyer.
And see where that leaves/ leads you.

Why I don,t believe in reincarnation.
by jam init,s simple, i can not remember crap from my previous life.. the wife told me today if you come back in the next life, please.
take some science classes.. if i could remember a small percentage of my life today, just a little.
bit, man would it make a difference.. in school i would be 100% nerd, geek, book worm.

I guess nowadays, I don't believe in anything. Because, I can't prove anything.
The only thing I see is when you are dead you are dead.
If we are in some kind of computer simulation. Then there are lots of possibilities that are not provable by
our understanding of the way things we see work but could work by a computer program.
